De monteres mest p\u00e5 husets tag, hvor de om dagen producerer elektricitet som bliver in-magasineret i batterier eller bliver omformet til 220V str\u00f8m som kan bruges til at drive almindelige class=\"textwidget\"><p><b>Nettilsluttede solcelleanl\u00e6g<\/b> producerer og leverer str\u00f8m i nettilsluttede omr\u00e5der og dermed reducerer det almindelige str\u00f8mforbrug ved at sende overskudsstr\u00f8mmen p\u00e5 det offentlige elnet.<br \/> Solcellerne placeres typisk p\u00e5 taget af den bygning som skal forsynes, men det er ogs\u00e5 muligt at bruge facader eller stativer p\u00e5 jorden til fastg\u00f8relse.<br \/> Et typisk anl\u00e6g til et enfamiliehus er p\u00e5 2-5 kW solcelleeffekt svarende til 20-50 m2 solceller.<br \/> Et nettilsuttet solcelleanl\u00e6g er bygget op af flere komponenter: solopaneler, inverter kabler og byggestruktur. Solcellerne leverer j\u00e6vn sp\u00e6nding\/str\u00f8m (DC) ved 24V DC. For at kunne f\u00e5 vekselsp\u00e6nding fra j\u00e6vn sp\u00e6nding, bruges en inverter som konverterer j\u00e6vn sp\u00e6nding til veksel sp\u00e6nding 230V\/50Hz.<br \/> Elektriciteten genereret p\u00e5 den m\u00e5de kan bagefter bruges enten direkte af diverse apparater i huset eller i tilf\u00e6lde af ekstraproduktion kan den leveres p\u00e5 nettet. N\u00e5r der produceres mere str\u00f8m end der bruges, s\u00e6lges overskudsenergien til el-v\u00e6rket. (el-m\u00e5leren l\u00f8ber bagl\u00e6ns). j\u00e6vnstr\u00f8m elektricitet. Materialer, der i \u00f8jeblikket anvendes til solceller omfatter monokrystallinske silicium, polykrystallinske silicium, mikrokrystallinsk silicium, cadmium-telluride, og kobber indium selenide \/ sulfide.<\/p>\n<p>Solceller producerer elektrisk j\u00e6vnstr\u00f8m fra lys, som kan bruges til at drive udstyr eller til at oplade et batteri. Den f\u00f8rste praktiske anvendelse af solceller var til forsyning af satellitter i kredsl\u00f8b og andre rumfart\u00f8jer, men i dag bruges st\u00f8rstedelen af solcellerne til nettilsluttet el-produktion. I dette tilf\u00e6lde en inverter konvertere j\u00e6vnstr\u00f8m (DC) til v\u00e6kselsstr\u00f8m (AC). Der er et mindre marked for \"\u00d8 systemer\" (off-grid) til fjerntliggende boliger, b\u00e5de, rekreative k\u00f8ret\u00f8jer, elektriske biler, n\u00f8dtelefoner, parkerings automater, mm.<\/p>\n<p>Sol Cellerne kr\u00e6ver beskyttelse for st\u00f8v, fugtighed og er derfor som regel pakket t\u00e6t bag en glasplade. Cellerne er elektrisk forbundet sammen til solcelle-moduler, eller solpaneler. Et enkelt modul er nok til at drive f. eks en n\u00f8dtelefon, men for et hus eller et kraftv\u00e6rk er der brug for flere moduler.<br \/>Selv om kW priser af el produceret med solceller er stadig for h\u00f8j til at konkurrere med el fra el-nettet i de fleste steder, i Japan og derefter Tyskland, Italien og Frankrig tilskuds ordninger fra staten har udl\u00f8st en enorm v\u00e6kst i eftersp\u00f8rgslen, fulgte hurtigt efter produktionen. I 2008 installerede Spanien 45% af alle solceller i verden.<\/p>\n<p>Et betydeligt marked er opst\u00e5et i off-grid systemer\/ opladning af batterier. Disse systemer er ofte er den eneste kilde til elektricitet til r\u00e5dighed. Den f\u00f8rste kommercielle anl\u00e6g af denne art var i 1966 p\u00e5 Ogami \u00f8en i Japan til overgangen fra gas-fakkel energi til helt selvforsynende med elektricitet.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"widget-title\">Fotovoltaiske celler: Konvertering af Fotoner til Elektroner<\/h3>\n<p>Solcellerne som man ser p\u00e5 regnemaskiner almindelige hus og satellitter kaldes ogs\u00e5 Photovoltaiske(PV) eller, som navnet antyder (foto betyder \"lys\" og voltaic betyder \"elektricitet\"), konvertere sollys direkte til elektricitet. Et modul er en gruppe af celler, elektrisk forbundet og emballeret i en ramme med glas (bedre kendt som en solfanger), som derefter kan inddeles i st\u00f8rre solpaneler.<\/p>\n<p>Solcellerne er fremstillet af specielle materialer kaldet halvledere som f. eks silicium, som i dag anvendes hyppigst.<br \/> Silicium (Si) er en ikke-metallisk grundstof som udg\u00f8r n\u00e6sten 30% af jordskorpen og er det 7. mest almindelige grundstof i Universet. Silicium har to former - amorf (brun), og krystallinske (m\u00f8rk).<br \/> Stort set, n\u00e5r lyset rammer cellen, en vis del af det, absorberes i halvledere. Det betyder, at energien af den absorberede lys er overf\u00f8rt til halvlederen. Den energi slog elektronerne l\u00f8s, s\u00e5 de kan flyde frit.<\/p>\n<p>Solceller har ogs\u00e5 en eller flere elektriske felter, der griber ind for at tvinge elektroner, der frig\u00f8res ved lysabsorption til at flyde i en bestemt retning. Denne flow af elektroner er en str\u00f8m, og ved at placere metalkontakterne p\u00e5 toppen og bunden af PV cellen, kan vi tr\u00e6kke denne str\u00f8m ud til forbrug, f. eks til forsyning af en lommeregner.
